Background: Millbeatz Entertainment was founded and established by David Millien. He is a young musical innovator who after participating in a sound engineering course discovered his passion for the production aspect of music. In 2010, he constructed a home-based studio that became centred on production services for a variety of underground music artists. The business was later expanded to cater to a variety of production needs in the local entertainment industry. His eagerness to create coupled with his acute ear for distinguishing sounds has led him to be on the pathway of becoming one of the forerunning producers in Trinidad and Tobago. David Millien
Founder/ Executive Music Producer of Millbeatz Entertainment.

David Millien is the Founder/ Executive Music Producer of Millbeatz Entertainment. He is a young musical innovator who first discovered his passion for the production side when he participated in a sound engineering course in 2009. In 2010, he established a home-based studio that was initially aimed at offering production services for a variety of underground music artists. However the business has since expanded to cater to a variety of music needs in the local entertainment industry. His eagerness to create coupled with his acute ear for distinguishing sounds has led him on the pathway of becoming one of the forerunning producers in Trinidad and Tobago.

 

Contributing to the success of JW and BLAZE “PALANCE” during the Carnival 2010 Season in Trinidad and Tobago, he had hits in the year 2011 such as Chucky “My Bad Thing” as well as Buhwamoder AKA Slap Chop Man “Bend Right Over” during the carnival season. As of 2012 he produced the music “Indian Gyal” performed by Machel Montano and Drupatee, “Sample” by Moses and Olatunji’s “Tadow” industry with his sweet productions. To date he has produced sme megga hit riddims for many Carnivalseason releases, with his Riddims known and promising to be a sweet soca favourite. David “Millbeatz” Millien has developed an unstoppable force…that is always ready to challenge the music industry.

 

“Millbeatz” has had the opportunity to work alongside some of the most notable artistes across a wide range of genres, including Soca, dancehall, reggae, Hip Hop, R&B, gospel and alternative. His client roster has included Soca Royalty Machel Montano, Destra Garcia , Patrice Roberts, Kevin Lyttle,  Blaxx , Benjai, 3 Suns Problem Child, Lyrikal Shurwayne Winchester, Denise Belfon, The Millionaire family, Positive, Ravi B, K.I , JW and Blaze , Reggae icons such as Isasha, Ja Melody and Prophet Benjamin; younger soca talents such as Erphaan Alves, Preedy, Chucky Gordon; as well as international talent such as Trinidad James and Jamaican icon reggae crooners Romain Virgo, Gyptian, Voice Mail, Wayne Wonder, General Degree and popular dancehall/reggae allstar group TOK, Aidonia, Charly Blacks &  Pamputtae, EMRAND HENRY(St Lucia) . His song “riddims” have widely received airplay worldwide. He has also gotten major sync Dealsft his music on Tv shows network HBO, Lifetime and has had the opportunity to work alongside major record companies such as  Vp Records, Sony Records, Atlantic Records.  Millbeatz has also had the opportunity to work at top recording studio sessions in New York, Atlanta , Miami and Los Angelos with both Billboard and Grammy award producers  . He has shared many rooms and experiences with Top A&R’s , record producers and artiste in the music industry.

In 2018, Millbeatz created history by releasing his debut studio album, which was the first of its kind in the Caribbean since he is not considered a performing artist in the traditional sense but a record producer. The discography featured a series of collaborations from various artists in both the regional and the international music industry, beyond the scope of Soca Music where he is mainly known. The album entitled “The revolution” has had huge success as it has attracted a combination over 13-14 million streams on all digital streaming platforms with the far-reaching success of Internationally recognised Soca hit song “Criminal Wine” during the Carnival 2018 season –

sung by Devon “Lyrikal” Martin and Patrice “Patsy” Roberts, clocking over 2million streams on just Spotify and over 15 Million streams on Youtube.

In the vibrant landscape of Trinidad and Tobago’s music scene, Millbeatz emerged as a pioneering force behind the groundbreaking “Trinibad” genre in 2019. His production prowess shone brightly with “Breadwinner” by Prince Swanny on the well known “Street Surviror Riddim, a track that catapulted the genre to global acclaim, amassing millions of streams worldwide. This infectious piano anthem, infused with pulsating rhythms and authentic Trinibagonian vibes, became a cultural phenomenon. Millbeatz’s innovative melodic sound and strategic vision teaming up with Punz Entertainment and Bing Bang Studios not only defined “Trinibad” but also bridged the local dancehall rhythms with international appeal. “Breadwinner” not only dominated charts but the genre Trinibad also introduced a new wave of Caribbean music to diverse audiences globally, cementing Millbeatz’s legacy as a trailblazer and one of the producer’s that contributed  in the evolution of Trinidad and Tobago’s musical identity.

David “Millbeatz” Millien achieved another huge milestone in the year 2020 and history was created again as he became founder and CEO of a prominent Caribbean record label Millbeatz Music Records, based in Trinidad. With a mission to nurture and elevate emerging artists and producers, his label aims to cultivate unique Caribbean hit music that resonates globally. David’s goal is to create awareness within the music industry, guiding young upcoming talents to achieve recognition and respect both internationally and regionally.

Driven by his vision to produce, market, and distribute artist content that competes on top Billboard charts worldwide, David envisions his label’s roster achieving widespread acclaim. His leadership focuses on fostering creativity, professionalism, and excellence, ensuring that each artist signed under his label receives the support needed to reach new heights in their careers. 

Producer Millbeatz achieved a significant milestone in 2021  as the  Recording Academy Grammy society honoured and  welcome him onboard to the Academy Class of 2021 , marking a pinnacle in his career as one of the very few selected from his country to achieve such. The honor of joining this esteemed community of musicians and artists worldwide was profoundly meaningful to him, reflecting his dedication and impact in the music industry. Millbeatz’s membership signifies not only recognition for his contributions but also an opportunity to collaborate and influence music at a global level, further solidifying his reputation as a distinguished producer and visionary within the industry.
